Clear Float is a basic type of glass being a product of mixing of so-called set of glass and clotting of molten glass on the surface of molten tin. The glass is almost perfectly flat, with no distortion or optical defects. It is the most common material for further processing.
Manufacturers: Saint- Gobain, Guardian, Pilkington
Thickness: 2-19 mm
Float extra white is a glass with increased translucency obtained by reducing the content of iron oxide in the glass. Thanks to its characteristics and translucency – particularly noticeable at the edges, it is used where perfect transparency and color purity is important.
Manufacturers: Pilkington (Optiwhite), Guardian (Ultra Clear)
Thickness: 4 – 19 mm
Tinted float glass is produced by adding proper components that cause coloring of glass. Thanks to its color, additional aesthetic and solar qualities are obtained.
Manufacturers: AGC, Import
Thickness: 3 – 12 mm
Reflective glass is tinted glass with reflective coating applied in the production process. The coating is designed to reflect the sun rays and reduce visible light. With the coating we obtain additional aesthetic qualities and we limit heating of the room.
Manufacturers: AGC, Import
Thickness: 4 – 8 mm
Low-emission soft coated glass is a type of glass with coatings applied, allowing for trouble-free sunlight penetration into the building and limiting the passage of heat outside from the building at the same time. Generally it is used in production of glazed glass.
Manufacturers: Saint-Gobain (Planitherm XN), Guardian (ClimaGuard)
Low-E hard coated glass is coated glass with layers applied, allowing for trouble-free sunlight penetration into the building and limiting the passage of heat outside from the building at the same time. It is used generally for production of glazed glass.
Self-cleaning glass is a type of glass with hydrophobic coating enabling for easy run of water from the glass surface while washing off any contamination. In the end, the glass cleans itself and prevents the formation of streaks and water stains. In addition, the glass is protected against corrosion. Used in particular for showers cabins (Timeless SGG), external objects and general construction (Activ PLK).
Manufacturers: Pilkington (ACTIV), Saint- Gobain (Timeless)
Wired glass is a type of glass with a steel wire melted in it. With this solution, the glass remains safe when it is broken – pieces of glass are held up by the wire, without causing injuries or other hazards. It is available in clear and tinted versions- brown and orange.
Manufacturers: Saint – Gobain
Laminated Glass is a type of safety glass, combining two sheets of glass with one or more heavy-duty foils. Within this process, the glass does not disintegrate into dangerous pieces once broken. There are many versions, for example: colorless, frosted, colored or with a special low-emissivity coating.
Manufacturers: Saint – Gobain, Guardian, Pilkington
Construction glass, which until recently had little participation in the construction industry, nowadays can be seen almost everywhere. It combines several unique and important architectural characteristics: transparency, strength, ease in processing and decorating. It is used for example for facades, windows, glazing and structural elements. Due to its aesthetic value it is also increasingly common as finishing elements.
